Windsor, with the Susquehanna River flowing through it and hills all around it, offers a bounty of recreational opportunities for residents and visitors.
The town of Windsor is home to beautiful Klumpp Park situated in the center of the village next to the Occanum creek.  Named in honor of Merritt Klumpp, longtime Windsor Coach, Principal and Village Mayor, the park has grown to include baseball and softball diamonds, basketball courts, walking trails, several swing sets, a fun playground, pavilions, and picnic areas.  The Windsor Youth Commission sponsors hundreds of young athletes each year for the baseball and softball programs and also holds an Easter Egg hunt in the park and other seasonal activities.
Our school district, with its five school buildings, also offers playgrounds, playing fields and (at the High School) a full fitness center and pool.  Indoor walking programs, yoga, and aerobics are also available as part of the school’s Adult Education programs.  Contact the respective school for more information.
Windsor has a very successful Recreational Soccer League for youth in grades K-6. The league has over 170 Windsor youth and is split into 4 age divisions with 4-6 teams per division. Recently the league was joined by the Lanesboro Youth Soccer program adding 4 more teams to the league. Games are played at the Windsor High School soccer fields or in Lanesboro PA. For more information go to the Windsor Youth Soccer website.
For the nature lover, Hawkins Pond on Scouten Hill Rd. is a Broome County, four-season, wooded park with a pond for fishing and trails for hiking and/or cross country skiing. Maps are available on the Go Broome County website to plan your trip.
